The Lodge is located between Helena and Great Falls, Montana in the small town of Cascade. Cascades population is 819 with an elevation of 3,378 feet. This Area was made popular by the Lewis and Clark Expedition, when explorers were forced to spend nearly a month portaging around the great waterfalls of the Missouri River in June 1805, Much of the Missouri River in this area remains as it was when Lewis and Clark first visited it 200 years ago.

Minutes from the property are a series of reservoirs created by the Missouri River; Canyon Ferry, Holter, and Hauser lakes. Each of these 3 lakes offers excellent fishing as well as boating activities.
